Harlem based Lulu Lewis brings forth a multi faceted offering in the world of rock. Their influences are far and wide but, can best aligned with post-punk, gothic, soul and psychedelia. They have coined the term Harlem Punk Rock to express their world view.

Their members all bring with them various credentials from the music and film world. Lead vocals are handled by Dylan Hundley. She was a lead in the Academy Award nominated Metropolitan. She also writes some of the Lulu tracks and directs all the videos. Pablo Martin of the Tom Tom Club plays guitar, writes and produces all the tracks. He is also a member of the critically acclaimed funk duo, The Du-Rites, and also works with Mimi Maura and Sergio Rotman of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. Bassist  Bill Harvey  has worked with bands such as Urban Verbs,  Tiny Desk Unit and  The Lord Calverts.  Jay Mumford is on the drums and brings with him a deep background as a highly respected hip-hop artist/producer working with the likes of Danger Mouse as well. He is the other half of the deep funk duo, The Du-Rites. Walter Vernon Baker is on the Les Paul and has a role of revolving guest player with The Violent Femmes amongst a host of other noteworthy acts and individuals. He is also the subject of the critically acclaimed documentary, A Rubber band is an Unlikely Instrument.

Lulu Lewis is in the midst of finishing their debut LP. They have completed 3 full length videos as well and intend to make what they call “micro-films” for each track. Their goal is to create and deliver an exceptional audio, visual and live experience.
